MARCO & LEONARDO cats to Guam
Thanks Lisa. I am in Guam for such a small place-the amount of paperwork seems over to top. They are staying at Michelle's home tonight and sleeping under the beds. But they are alive and seem to be ready to explore. It worked out. The customs was simple. So we all did all the right things. It was about 5 minutes!
Again thanks for all your help.

GRIFF cat to Nadi, Fiji
Hi Lisa, thank you very much for everything, we’re just driving back from Koronivia now, it’s been a long day! Griff was apprehensive at first at the quarantine facility, naturally, but looked like he'll settle in in no time at all. He looked in fine condition at biosecurity, though he was quite frightened in the new environment. You've been really great and we appreciate all your efforts. Thanks again very much!
Kind regards,
Shanelle and Karim

MALI & TUI french bulldogs to Nadi, FIji
Bula to you both! Very happy to report that Tui & Mali are safe here in Fiji and doing great!!
I don’t want to lie…the trip to the quarantine facility was the hardest part.  It is a 3 hour drive on a bumpy, curvy road and the babies had really had enough!  I was with them lying down in the back of the van the whole way trying to comfort them.  The good news…once we were there they forgot the whole ordeal.  There is a lovely large yard at the facility and they immediately forgot the trauma. Everyone just loves them and the staff at the station is very kind and loving.  The kennel facility is large, very clean and comfortable.  It has a fuzzy bed for them and they get to stay together  :)  They are doing really well!  I spent a few hours with them at the quarantine facility and they played like crazy!  The staff here is very kind and they are quite smitten with them, so I feel confident that they are in good care.  The facility has a large field and they love to romp around in it…it’s great! They are eating with excellent appetites and very playful.  I am so happy!  I can’t wait to get them home to the island!!  Thank you both for everything! Our preparations were not in vain, and everything went off without a hitch.
Vinaka Vakalevu, with love and gratitude

JACK border collie cross to Noumea, New Caledonia
Hi Lisa and Bruce, Jack has arrived at our new home, a little freaked out but healthy and in good spirits, generally just happy to be with us. The quarantine facility in Noumea is good. It’s clean and there is an exercise area for the dogs. We picked up an info pack which Hamish will send to you when he gets back to NZ. So you can show anyone else heading this way what their pet is in for. Thanks again for caring for Jack.

MOLLIE mastiff cross to Nadi, Fiji
Hi Lisa and Bruce, Just to thank you very much for ensuring Mollie got here to Fiji. She is doing ok by now - and settling into the immense heat, 32 degs and 90% humidity... just as we all are. She was very unsettled first few days out of quarantine, and apparently seldom came out of her airy pen at Koronivia. The pens were big and clean when we were there, just so you can tell anyone else in future.  its 9 miles North of Suva city on a breezy hill - great for animalls adjusting to heat of tropics, what a mercy.  Thanks for everything. I know I was stressed thru that time and my sincere apologies for that. I've learnt alot thru it all.
I will certainly come back to you if ever needed again bringing Mollie back to NZ.
Kindest regards,
Jean Hatch

ASHA border collie to Apia, Samoa
Lisa, Just letting you know that Asha arrived on time and in good health. Thanks for all your help in getting her here. A couple of points came up when collecting her that may be of interest to anyone else shipping pets to Samoa. We had no trouble with the Biosecurity inspection, and paid the $12.90 Tala certificate fee. However, Customs advised that duty was payable on imported livestock (including pets), and was calculated based on the age of the animal. They were still trying to work out the correct amount when someone remembered that, as a diplomatic household we were exempt from duty. Worth noting for future shipments. There was also a cargo handling charge the local Air NZ guys hit us up for - about $50.
Thanks again for all your help

CHIEF & DELTA rhodesian ridgebacks to Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea
Bit of a stumble on arrival - NAQiA didn't pik them up and left them in an airport hanger overnight unfed. But to apologise they counted the time towards quarantine and they were out exactly 48hrs later.
But they have settled in well to the heat.

RITCHIE labrador to Nadi, Fiji

Hi, Ritchie is absolutely beautiful !!!! He is happy as one could be in Quarantine. He licked my hands and I gave him cuddles and kisses. He looks very healthy. He just wants to play. He is being well taken care of by the same man that took care of my Labs three year ago and he remembers them. He has worked for the Fiji quarantine for 28 years.  I will visit Ritchie every day.

Sincerely, Kathy

SKYE cat to Honiara, Solomon Islands
hi there
Thanks Lisa, just wanted to let you know Skye arrived safe and well yesterday.  No probs picking her up at airport.  She was a bit subdued but very happy to see us and is increasingly comfortable and her old self, she’s eating and drinking well.
Skye seems fully restored, starting the morning by pouncing on my feet in bed then setting about reducing the gecko population inside the house.  We have a bell for her which should help reduce the amount of birdlife she is able to catch, but I fear the reptiles are in for a hard time.  It’s a good thing there is a veritable plague of them!
Thanks again for all your help

TAXI & BELLA labrador cross kelpie to Rarotonga, Cook Islands
Hi there - just to let you know Taxi and Bella arrived safely and in great shape this morning. The transition thru MAF/Customs and Air NZ went really smoothly and they were clear for me to pick up by 3.15 am our time. They were very pleased to get out of their cages and spend the rest of the night sleeping inside with me under the air conditioning. This morning they have been out on the deck and exploring their new front lawn looking longingly at the beach. Have attached a photo for you to see them at the front fence which goes down to the lagoon.
Many many thanks for your help and your care of them - it is always stressful moving animals around but I knew they were in great hands and that you had everything covered. And it was nice to know they were in good hands whilst delayed a day.

Look us up if you ever coming over here for a holiday - we easy to find via the NZ High Comm!

CADBURY cat to Port Vila, Vanuatu
Hi Lisa , Cadbury arrived safely, thank you.  There was a bit of a delay doing the paperwork at the airport this end in 35 degrees plus , after a few hours in airconditioning (luxury, we don't use it for ourselves!) he settled down and now seems fine.
Thank you very much for your help.

Cheers Lesley
