International Pet Travel

With various Country, Airline and Government requirements it is best to make contact with VenturePet as early as possible to discuss your individual pet travel needs. This may include Import Permits, MPI/Vet Health Certificates and specific cage types.

Some dog breeds are banned from travelling internationally, to specific countries, and on certain airlines (eg, snub-nosed/brachycephalic). Please contact VenturePet if you require verification.

International pet travel can be arranged from Wellington and Auckland.

Domestic Pet Travel

When moving your pets within New Zealand VenturePet provide Door to Airport and Door to Door services which include:

 – Pickup from residence/boarding facility
-Boarding arrangement if required (current vaccinations required)
– Cage hire and sell
– Airfare
– Delivery to residence/boarding facility

Tranquillisation & Sedation

Tranquillisation and sedation is not permitted by airlines for cats and dogs. Calming medication and homeopathic alternatives are available from your Vet or local pet store.

Always contact your pets veterinarian should you be concerned about reaction to air travel. They are the medical professionals for your pets. Medical conditions need to be advised to VenturePet, (i.e. arthritis/medication).

Hi Lisa, Just to let you know that Jasper and Pheonix have settled in nicely. Within a couple of hours Jasper was strutting around like he owned the place. Pheonix stills stays out of sight most of the time, but at night they are both off out hunting and last night brought thier first mouse into the house ( at 1:00 am ) The heat doesn’t seem to bother them much and they have adjusted to sharing space with the dog.
